The direction should be based on practicality and the layout of the room. Sliding doors often open towards the wall without obstructions. The flow of foot traffic and usability should also be considered when determining the opening direction. Some of our interior sliding doors come standard with a privacy lock which can be fitted to the left or right side of the door. A handle is included with each sliding door which can be fitted to the side you prefer or require.
